Word Press Website thats Making Money

Hi Guys,

We had a our weekly skype meeting, John N, Andres P, Rich M and Me were there. There was good accountablility with the group.

I listen to mentor, James Martell tonight and it was the best one in his series.

It was a study of his, Dan, who has a successful Review website.

• His site name is Piano-Keyboard-Reviews.com
• This site start in 2006
• He is boot camp member of James Martell.
• This site has had 4 evolutions, static >> drupel >> dreamweaver >> now wordpress
• He really wanted to get in the social aspect and went for the wordpress theme. If you check out the theme. It is awesome, really cool.
• He talked about the transition from the static site to the dreamweaver site. He had a lot of concerns about loosing page ranking and google key word ranks.
• During the transitions he used 301 redirect. I could not totally understand this because he said he static site was www.piano-keyboard-review and the wordpress was piano-keyboard-reviews without the www.
• He has built a lot trust with his customers.
• He is selling tones of Keyboards and is usinng on 1 affiliate to the sell keyboards from.

Questions asked him.
1. What was the biggest challenge starting in affiliate biz. A. Believing I could make money. Once I made my first check, it gave me confidence to continue.
2. How hard it was getting into the top 10 of google. A. Not very hard if you write good content and use the keyword desity rule from James.
3. What has helped you grow. A. I listen to my clients and change my website what they want.
4. What make you different from the compeition. A. I have a passion for music and keyboards.

I was really impressed with this guys website and selling ability. He is selling more this summer then he did during his christmas season in 08.

Meeting Notes May 7

Hi All,

Attendance: John Mac, Rich R, Alex, and (new) Miguel,

1.Miguel mention that he went to a seminar and where they were showing a place to make a website in 15 minutes or less. The Software is called cyberspaceinabox.com This software cost about $4,000

The programs pulls in feeds from all different sources and makes a webpage. It pulls feeds from ebay, amazon, blogs and other sources.

2. Alex talked about Widgets and pulling feeds with it.

3. Alex talked about MasterTemplates.com. Where you can find FREE templates that have a way of pulling feeds. This is the poor man way of cyberspaceinabox.com, more time and work.

4. Think about a master plan for group site out there. We need to come up with a mission and then make a website to make some money. We all need to come up with mission for a group website.

5. Next meeting we are going to talk owner of thefreedictionary.com
This site has reached over 1 billion visitors in 5 years
Some questions to ask:
How is he making money?
Where is he getting content?
How did he build the form, from scratch or from software?
Where is his vision for his site.

John need to get Alex his skpe address and phone # for the meeting.

6. One of the best email management programs out there: aweber.com If you have a website, you need to have this.

7. Rich created a new logo: http://super-food-nutrition.com/ He did it on his own. He did a great job. Rich maybe you can comment on which program you used, you weren't sure.

10. We had a demo of the iphone vs blackberry. The iphone was very impressive especially with all the features. You can't beat it.

11. John needs to fix his reservation pages. Rich gave great suggestions.
1. Work on the Miami registration page. ( if you want to see it now, it will change)
2. lighten color or white within box
3. Only have 1 activity date
3a. Can we find a calendar date box ?
4. Take out where they are staying box ( move to below)
5. Modify additional info box - take out q1, q2, q3, q7. Modify 4,5,6 - make like MS form
6. Make a separate form for the Transportation service.

I have installed this program http://www.ccleaner.com/ on my computer its free and it cleans all temp files very easily.

Rich is busy with his websites, adding more banners and graphics. John N is going to Jamaica and will start using Tweeter tonight. He wants to tweet his trip to Jamaica.

1. Talking about adding his banner to site and using the masking with photoshop.
1. Part of the masking is part of layers to create an animation
2. You can stack 8000 layers with photo shop
3. Rich is having a hard time with started the masking process

5. Masking is the process of touch a part of the image and pull it out the world LIVE in the image. Would put Purple on Live. And put in the Word LIVE with each letter L – I – V – E . Each letter could pop in.
6. Rich talked about Gradient mask where the photos fade out slightly. Look at Richs vegetables banner on top to see an example. Should be a 20% gradient mask.
7. Once you learn one adobe program, it will help learn other programs

1. How do you take out the word LIVE out of photo.
2. John N need show this live. We will work on this the next time.
